Nitish Kumar Reddy IPL Salary: Year-wise earnings from 2023 to 2026

Before coming into the Indian Premier League (IPL), a mid-teenaged Nitish Kumar Reddy impressed one and all in the Vijay Merchant Trophy 2017-18 when the right-hander scored 441 runs off 345 balls for Andhra against Nagaland along with a triple century in the previous match. In total, Reddy amassed 1237 runs at an average of 176.41 which is the highest that a batter has ever scored in a season in the tournament. Notably and unsurprisingly, Reddy was chosen as the winner of the Best Under-16 cricketer award for that season.

Reddy kept working hard in the domestic circuit and eventually the Andhra lad was spotted by the Sunrisers Hyderabad scouts. The franchise acquired the all-rounder for INR 20 lakh ahead of IPL 2023. But in his first season, Reddy did not get a chance to bat and failed to pick up a wicket in his five overs that he bowled.

However, 2024 was a breakthrough season for him. The right-hand batter scored 303 runs in 11 innings which included two match-winning innings of 64 against Punjab Kings and unbeaten 76 against Rajasthan Royals. Moreover, Reddy the bowler was able to scalp three wickets as well in seven innings to kickstart his promising bowling journey and, on the whole, contributed immensely towards the team reaching the final.

2024 got even better for the all-rounder as he was selected for the Indian team in T20Is and Tests later in the year. In just his fourth Test, Reddy scored 114 at the MCG against all odds and it has been the highlight of his career so far. Meanwhile, the all-rounder had already been retained by SRH for INR 6 crore ahead of IPL 2025.

The performances, however, started to go downhill from the lofty peak as the Andhra all-rounder could not match his bests both in the IPL and international arena in 2025. Nevertheless, Reddy is still with SRH for the same price for the 2026 season and the 22-year-old has a lot of potential which is yet to be realised.
