Peshawar Zalmi clinched their second Pakistan Super League title, beating Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets in the final on Sunday, May 3 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. After being put in to bat first, Hyderabad were bundled out for 129 in 18 overs, with only Saim Ayub (54 off 50) putting up a fight with his half-century.
Aaron Hardie’s (4/27) was instrumental in triggering Hyderabad’s collapse in the middle overs. In reply, Peshawar were also left reeling at 40/4 in 4.5 overs, after a marvellous opening spell from Mohammad Ali (3/38).

Seeing his team in trouble, Hardie (56* off 39) once again came to their rescue, stitching a match-winning stand of 85 runs off 60 balls with Abdul Samad (48 off 34), which eventually got Peshawar over the line.
Courtesy of his stellar all-round show, Aaron Hardie was adjudged Player of the Match in the final, while Sufyan Moqim took home the Player of the Tournament award.
