The Indian Premier League (IPL) is rated as the most competitive T20 tournament in the world. Over the 18-year history of the mega event, several players have left an indelible mark on the league with their stupendous performances. The IPL finals are often the most intense fixture of the entire season as both teams bring their A game to the fore to stake a claim to the coveted title.
While the grand occasion of the final is bound to leave many under pressure, a few players have thrived on the big stage, bringing out their best performance in the summit clashes. In the history of IPL finals, a few players haven’t allowed the enormity of the occasion to get the better of them and played out of their skins to register blazing innings.

Suresh Raina holds the record for the fastest half-century in the history of IPL finals, reaching the landmark in just 24 balls during the 2010 edition against Mumbai Indians in Navi Mumbai. Raina scored an unbeaten 57* (35) with the help of three fours and as many sixes.
He was also adjudged Player of the Match in CSK’s 22-run victory as he also chipped in with a wicket with the ball. Former Australia opener David Warner also levelled Raina’s feat during the 2016 final against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Warner scored 69 (38), smashing eight fours and three sixes to guide SRH to a huge score of 208/7 in their 20 overs. SRH eventually won the match by eight runs to clinch their maiden IPL crown. Venkatesh Iyer also emulated the feat during the 2024 final against SRH.
The Kolkata Knight Riders’ batter scored an unbeaten 52* (26), smashing four fours and three sixes in his innings to help KKR chase down 114 in 10.3 overs. Star batter Virat Kohli brought up his half-century in 25 balls during the IPL 2026 final against Gujarat Titans (GT) at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
