The Indian cricket team has a rich history in ODI cricket, having several records and achievements to its name. The Men in Blue have won two World Cup trophies and also have the most Champions Trophy titles (3) in their illustrious cabinet. On the other hand, legendary India batter Sachin Tendulkar holds the record for most runs in ODI cricket (18,426) while Virat Kohli has the record for most ODI centuries (54).
While Indian batters have given a hard time to their opponents' bowlers on a number of occasions, the Men in Blue have also been on the receiving end of some of the most belligerent innings in ODI history. Here are three players with the fastest hundreds against India:

3. James Faulkner, 57 balls, Bengaluru, 2013
Chasing a massive target of 384, Australia were staring down the barrel after being reduced to 211/8 after 301. overs. However, Faulkner gave India a major scare with his breathtaking innings. He brought up his hundred in just 57 balls and scored 116 off 73 balls with the help of 11 fours and six sixes to keep Australia in the hunt. He brought his team mighty close to a win, but was eventually dismissed in the 46th over as India won by 57 runs to win the series by 3-2.
2. Rahmanullah Gurbaz, 48 balls, Dharamsala, 2026
The Afghanistan opener played the innings of his life as he got his team off to a terrific start in the rain-curtailed 25-over fixture. Rahmanullah Gurbaz brought up his century off just 48 balls, registering the fastest ever hundred for his country. He was dismissed for 102 (51), after smashing eight fours and as many sixes. However, his efforts went in vain as India won the match by seven wickets.
1. Shahid Afridi, 45 balls, Kanpur, 2005
Chasing a target of 250, Shahid Afridi single-handedly killed the game in the first 15 overs itself as he brought up his century off just 45 balls. He clobbered ten fours and nine sixes in his innings, helping Pakistan chase down the target in 42.1 overs and was deservedly adjudged Player of the Match for his blistering knock.
