Highest individual scores in Duleep Trophy, Ishan Kishan breaks into top 10

Ishan Kishan has broken into the top ten highest individual scorers in the history of the Duleep Trophy with a commanding 270 off 334 deliveries against South Zone in the final of the ongoing tournament on September 7. The southpaw struck 30 fours and seven sixes at a strike rate of 80.83, and his majestic innings powered East Zone to a mammoth total of 708 in 163 overs.
His 270 is now the second‑highest individual score by an East Zone batter in Duleep Trophy history. Arun Lal’s 287 remains the highest score by an East Zone player. Former India cricketer Raman Lamba holds the record for the highest individual score in a Duleep Trophy innings, having struck 320 off 471 balls with 30 fours and six sixes for North Zone against West Zone in Bhilai in October 1987.
Former India opener Virender Sehwag is also among the top 10, having scored 274 in an innings for North Zone against South Zone in December 1999.
