Barely mathematically alive in the race to the IPL 2026 playoffs, Mumbai Indians (MI) can't afford to put a foot wrong in their remaining matches this season, starting with their clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Wankhede on May 4. 

The five-time IPL winners have not looked anywhere close to their indomitable selves. They have lost both rounds of the El Clásico to Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and that too by comprehensive margins.
