India remained unbeaten throughout the tournament and edged South Africa in a nerve-wracking final to claim their second T20 World Cup title.

3. Meg Lanning (Australia)

Meg Lanning is the most successful captain across both men’s and women’s international cricket, in terms of ICC trophy victories, having guided Australia to five titles.

In 2022, she led her side to their seventh ICC Women's Cricket World Cup title in New Zealand, beating England in the final to complete an unbeaten campaign.

Lanning followed it up with another ICC triumph in 2023, captaining Australia to victory in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in South Africa. Australia beat the hosts in the final at Newlands to defend their title for the second successive time and clinch their sixth T20 World Cup trophy.
