Indian cricketers enjoy a massive fan following, with people queuing up for hours to catch a single glimpse of their favourite stars. The fanaticism of cricket players has no limits in India, as people go out of their way to impress their idols.

While some fans make portraits or tattoos of cricket stars, some come into the limelight for having an uncanny resemblance to famous players. Over the years, several Indian players have found unexpected doppelgangers who have caught the attention of fans. Here are three famous cricketers and their doppelgangers:

1. Virat Kohli – Kartik Sharma

Virat Kohli is the biggest name in world cricket and has a massive fanbase across the globe. But one of his fans has gained attention for looking almost like him. Kartik Sharma, a software engineer from Haryana, became an internet sensation because of his striking resemblance to the former India captain.

Kartik has often been mistaken for Kohli and attracted crowds who want to take pictures with him. He is also a huge Kohli fan and considers the cricketer his idol.

2. Rohit Sharma – Hardik Tamore

Rohit Sharma's lookalike went viral on social media during a Vijay Hazare Trophy match between Mumbai and Sikkim in December, 2025. Mumbai wicketkeeper-batter Hardik Tamore was spotted alongside Rohit, and fans were quick to notice the resemblance between the two.

The image gained traction on the internet with some fans joking that there were two Rohit Sharmas in the same frame. Tamore, who made his first-class debut for Mumbai in the 2019-20 Ranji Trophy season, has played 22 first-class and 26 List A matches in his career.

3. Shikhar Dhawan – Ram Bahadur

Shikhar Dhawan's doppelganger Ram Bahadur has taken his admiration for the former India opener to another level. Hailing from Uttar Pradesh, Bahadur works as a computer operator in Lucknow and began styling himself like Dhawan after a barber first pointed out their resemblance.

Bahadur copied Dhawan's hairstyle, moustache, beard and clothing. His resemblance has even caused confusion at cricket grounds, where fans have mistaken him for the former India opener. He eventually met Dhawan and developed a close fan relationship with his idol.
