Top 3 players who won IPL, PSL & BBL titles

Ever since the advent of franchise T20 leagues, cricket has never been the same. Earlier, bilateral cricket series dominated the calendar, which has now been replaced with a dedicated window for various T20 leagues of top cricketing nations.

These leagues serve the best cricketing talent from across the globe to their viewers, bringing them to the edge of their seats through their riveting action. The Indian Premier League (IPL), the Big Bash League in Australia and the Pakistan Super League (PSL) are some of the top leagues in the world.

Many players have plied their trade in all three tournaments. However, only a few have lifted trophies in all three of them. Here’s a list of players who’ve completed this unique treble in their glorious careers:

1. Rashid Khan

The Afghanistan all-rounder is one of the most sought-after players in the world on the T20 circuit. The spin all-rounder is one of the few players to have won IPL, BBL and PSL titles. Rashid Khan first won the BBL 2017-18 season with Adelaide Strikers, playing a crucial role in his team’s victory by finishing as the leading wicket-taker of the tournament with 18 scalps from 11 innings.

He further won the PSL in 2022 with Lahore Qalandars, taking 13 wickets from nine innings. The same year, Rashid also added an IPL title to his trophy cabinet, winning the tournament while playing for Gujarat Titans in 2022. He scalped 19 wickets from 16 innings to help his team lift their maiden title in their debut season. He also won another PSL title with Lahore in 2023.

2. Shane Watson 

One of the greatest all-rounders of his generation, Shane Watson enjoyed success wherever he played. He lifted the inaugural IPL trophy with Rajasthan Royals in 2008 before again playing a key role in Chennai Super Kings' title-winning campaign in 2018. Watson also scripted history by winning the maiden Player of the Tournament award in IPL in 2008. 

In Australia, Watson won two BBL titles, first with Brisbane Heat in 2012/13 and later with Sydney Thunder in 2015/16. He also tasted success in PSL, winning the league's inaugural edition in 2016 with Islamabad United and later winning his second title with Quetta Gladiators in 2019. He also won the Player of the Tournament award in 2019 for finishing as the leading run scorer of the season with 430 runs from 12 innings.

3. Andre Russell 

Andre Russell's explosive batting power, excellent control on ball and acrobatic fielding have made him one of the most feared T20 players in history. The West Indies all-rounder won his first IPL title with Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014 before helping the franchise reclaim the crown a decade later in 2024.

Russell also featured in Sydney Thunder's victorious BBL campaign in 2015/16 and won two PSL titles with Islamabad United in 2016 and 2018.
