Ever since the beginning of T20Is in 2004, cricket has undergone a revolution like never before. The new format brought excitement as batters adapted to the shorter version of the game and unleashed their true aggressive avatar to fans.
To further add to fans’ excitement, super overs were introduced in T20 cricket to decide the winner in case of a tie. Over the years, international cricket has witnessed several thrilling super over fixtures, with the most famous one being the ODI World Cup 2019 final between England and New Zealand.

While some teams have struggled to find success in super overs, some have mastered it so much that they’ve never lost one. Here are the top three teams which have never lost a super over in T20Is:
3. West Indies
West Indies had a dominant era in T20Is, where they won two T20 World Cups in 2012 and 2016 under Darren Sammy. Having several big hitters in their batting lineup, the West Indies were a tough team to beat during their peak. They played two super overs in their history, the first one against New Zealand in 2008, and the second one was also against the Kiwis during the 2012 T20 World Cup. They emerged victorious on both occasions.
2. England
England are second in the list, having transformed themselves in the limited-overs format over the past few years. They’ve also won two T20 World Cup titles in 2010 and 2022, respectively. In their T20I history, England have played two super overs. They played their first super over against Pakistan in 2015 and then their second against New Zealand in 2019. They also won the famous super over during the 2019 World Cup final on boundary count.
1. India
The current T20 World Cup champions hold the top spot in the list, having won a whopping five super overs in T20I history. India stunned everyone by winning the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in 2007 and then added two more titles to their cabinet in 2024 and 2026. The Men in Blue played their first super over in 2020 vs New Zealand, and it turned out to be a thrilling affair as Rohit Sharma sealed the win with a six on the last ball.
India also became the first team to play double super overs in international cricket against Afghanistan in 2024 in Bengaluru. They have won all five super overs played in their history.
