The Lanka Premier League 2026 (LPL 2026) once again provided a platform for Sri Lanka’s emerging talent to shine on the big stage. Several players produced notable performances throughout the tournament, earning plaudits not only from within the country but across the globe.

Following their spectacular show, these players have opened themselves to the huge T20 franchise market that’s always on the lookout for the best talent. It’s every player's dream to play in the grandest T20 league in the world, the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, not everyone gets to achieve it due to massive competition.

The IPL auction often provides an opportunity for lesser-known players to earn lucrative contracts, and the top performers from the LPL could well be in demand in the upcoming auction of the tournament. Here are three top performers from the LPL 2026 who could attract good bids at the IPL auction.

1. Kamil Mishara

Kamil Mishara emerged as one of the standout performers for Jaffna Kings during their run to the final in the LPL 2026. The 25-year-old showcased his ability to score quickly and also maintained remarkable consistency, finishing the tournament with 411 runs from nine innings at an average of 51.37 and a strike rate of 165.06. He was adjudged Player of the Tournament, despite Jaffna's loss in the final against Galle Gallants.

Mishara's explosive batting could make him an attractive option for IPL franchises looking for an aggressive top-order batter.

2. Dunith Wellalage

Dunith Wellalage continued to show his potential as one of Sri Lanka's most exciting young spin-bowling prospects. The left-arm spinner enjoyed an impressive LPL 2026 campaign with Jaffna Kings, claiming 14 wickets from 10 innings.

Wellalage’s ability to trouble batters with his changes of pace and variations could make him a great option for IPL teams searching for a versatile spinner.

3. Lahiru Udara Igalagamage

Lahiru Udara Igalagamage was another batter who made a strong impression in LPL 2026. The Kandy Royals star finished as the tournament’s leading run-scorer, amassing 434 runs from nine innings at an average of 54.25 and a strike rate of 159.55, registering one century and four fifties. His aggressive strokeplay and ability to convert starts into big scores could make him a much sought-after option at the IPL auction.
