The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has revoked Noor Ahmad's No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 season, leaving his franchise, St Lucia Kings, "disappointed". St Lucia Kings have roped in New Zealand's wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert as a replacement for Noor.

"Noor will no longer be available to represent the Saint Lucia Kings for the remainder of the tournament," St Lucia Kings said in a statement, confirming Seifert's inclusion. "The franchise is disappointed that Noor will be unable to join the team and wishes him all the best.

"In the meantime, the St Lucia Kings look forward to welcoming Tim Seifert, who is currently on his way to Saint Lucia to join the squad."

Noor represented Manchester Super Giants (MSG) in the men's Hundred 2026. The left-arm wrist spinner claimed eight scalps in 10 games at an economy rate of 9.88 and an average of 39.75. He was part of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in 2024, representing St Lucia Zouks. Noor snared 22 wickets in 12 CPL games in that edition at an average of 13.22 and an economy rate of 6.19, with a best of 3/18.

Meanwhile, Seifert was the second-leading run-getter in the men's Hundred with 394 runs in 10 games for Manchester Super Giants this season, contributing to their title-winning campaign. He averaged 49.25 at a strike rate of 168.37, including five fifties.

St Lucia Kings won their maiden CPL title in the 2024 season, beating Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW) by six wickets in the summit clash.
