Afghanistan announce home series against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe for multi-format contests in UAE

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is going to host Zimbabwe and Bangladesh in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a blockbuster home season across all formats. The season will get underway with a one-off Test against Bangladesh from October 9. The red-ball fixture will pave the way to an ODI tri-nation series involving Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Afghanistan. The tri-series will be played from October 17 to October 23.
Afghanistan will then host Zimbabwe for a three-match T20I series from October 27 to November 1. Afghanistan will play a two-match Test series against Zimbabwe to cap off the season. The venue for the series has not been revealed yet.

Afghanistan's last Test appearance came against India at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh, in June. India clinched the Test by an innings and 300 runs.
Underlining the significance of the cricketing season, ACB CEO Naseeb Khan said: “We are pleased to confirm this important period of international cricket for the Afghanistan National Team. Playing Bangladesh and Zimbabwe across different formats will provide our players with valuable competitive opportunities and offer our supporters an exciting period of international cricket.”
