Pakistan batter Sahibzada Farhan and India fast bowler Arundhati Reddy were named ICC Men’s and Women’s Player of the Month, respectively, for February 2026. Farhan had a record-breaking campaign in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, while Reddy played a key role in India’s T20I series win in Australia.
Farhan finished as the highest run scorer of the tournament with 383 runs from six innings at an average of 76.60 and a strike rate of 160.25 with two half-centuries and as many centuries to his name. The Pakistan opener shattered the record for most runs in a single edition of the tournament, surpassing Virat Kohli’s 319-run tally from 2014.

It was Farhan’s first ICC Player of the Month honour as he also became the first Pakistan player since Haris Rauf in November 2024 to achieve the feat. He also became the first player in the history of the T20 World Cup to hit two centuries in a single edition. Following his achievement, the Pakistan batter was thrilled to have performed at his best at the grand stage of the World Cup and thanked his teammates for their constant support.
“It’s an incredible feeling to win this ICC award, especially for performances on the World Cup stage, where fans from all over the world are watching every moment. That makes it even more special. It was truly a tournament I’ll always cherish, and I’m determined to carry this momentum forward in the series and competitions ahead. I’m deeply grateful to my teammates for their constant support and belief in me - this wouldn’t have been possible without them,” said Farhan in a media release.
On the other hand, Reddy finished as the highest wicket taker of the three-match T20I series against Australia, helping India seal the rubber by 2-1. Reddy scalped eight wickets at an average of 10.87 and an economy rate of 7.25.
Upon receiving her maiden ICC Player of the Month honour, Reddy said that it was special to contribute to a T20I series victory in Australia.

“It’s a real honour to be named ICC Player of the Month, and even more special knowing I was able to contribute to a T20I series win in Australia. Beating Australia on their home turf is never easy, which makes this award even more meaningful. This series win has given our team a huge boost of confidence as we build towards the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales this summer. We’ve got a well-balanced squad, and I believe we’ll be a team to watch,” Reddy was quoted as saying by the ICC.
The right-arm seamer scalped four wickets (4/22) during the series opener in Sydney and was adjudged Player of the Match in India’s 21-run victory by the DLS method. She further scalped 2/30 in Canberra and a 2/35 in the series-decider in Adelaide, guiding India to just their second T20I rubber win vs Australia.
