Alyssa Healy finished her international career on a high, leading Australia to a 12-4 win against India in the multi-format home series against India, as the hosts demolished the visitors in the one-off, pink-ball Test at the WACA ground in Perth by 10 wickets.
The victory means that Australia bounced back after a 2-1 drubbing in the T20I leg under Sophie Molineux’s captaincy, having blanked the defending ODI World Cup Champions 3-0 in the 50-over internationals.

India, who were reduced to 82 for 6 and finished 20 runs behind at 105 for 6 on stumps Day 2, could only delay the inevitable on the third morning, as No. 3 Pratika Rawal fought back on debut to help the team evade an innings defeat. She looked at ease despite wickets tumbling at the other end and brought up her half-century off 105 balls.
At the other end, Sneh Rana hung around and lent support, but Ashleigh Garner saw her back after Australia offered her two reprieves. Soon afterwards, leg-spinner Alana King removed Kashvee Gautam to leave India reeling at 133 for 8.
Rawal found the brief company of Sayali Satghare in a 16-run stand for the penultimate wicket, but the duo fell in quick time as King had the latter caught at silly point while Gardner returned and had Rawal miscue a pull to backward square leg, falling for a valiant 63 off 137.
Rawal’s fight ensured that Australia had to come out to bat again, but the 28-run target was a mere formality and openers Georgia Voll (unbeaten 16 off 13) and Phoebe Litchfield (unbeaten 11 off 14) proved it exactly that. Voll pulled Gautam past midwicket for a boundary, while Litchfield picked a four through extra cover off Satghare. Voll sealed the deal with a hat-trick of fours against Gautam in the fifth over.
