Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has withdrawn NOC (No Objection Certificates) for two of its players namely Mustafizur Rahman and Nahid Rana for the remainder of the Pakistan Super League 2026 (PSL 2026). The fast bowling duo was playing for Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi, respectively, before they had to return for the recently concluded ODI series against New Zealand at home.
However, after the conclusion of the series, BCB has decided not to send its players back for the final stages of the PSL. Rahman took six wickets for Lahore Qalandars in five innings with best figures of 2/30. He returned from the league nursing a knee injury and missed the first two ODIs against New Zealand.

He finally featured in the third ODI in Chattogram and scalped a five-wicket haul (5/43) to help Bangladesh seal the series 2-1. With Rahman rested for the T20I series against the Kiwis, he’s set to undergo a scan to assess his fitness and will begin rehabilitation, informed BCB in a statement.
"It has been decided that the player [Mustafizur] will undergo an immediate scan to further assess his condition, after which he will commence a rehabilitation programme under the supervision of the BCB medical team. In this regard, the board has withdrawn the No Objection Certificate (NOC) previously issued to Mustafizur. He will therefore not be available to participate in the remainder of PSL 2026,” said BCB in a statement.
Nahid Rana also rested for T20Is
Rana is also not a part of the upcoming T20I series and has been rested ahead of the two-match Test series against Pakistan scheduled in May. As a result, he also won’t return to the PSL. Rana was in top form for Peshawar Zalmi, having scalped seven wickets in four games at an economy rate of 5.42 with best figures of 3/7.
He was also adjudged Player of the Series in Bangladesh's 2-1 victory over New Zealand for finishing as the highest wicket taker of the rubber with eight wickets from three matches, with best figures of 5/32 in the second ODI.
