Bangladesh have unveiled their squad for the Women’s Asia Cup as well as the Women’s Asian Games 2026. Nigar Sultana Joty will continue to lead the side, while spinner Nahida Akter will be her deputy.

Sarmin Sultana, who made her T20I debut in May this year, has marked her return. While she has only played one T20I, she has some experience of playing ODIs as well, having represented her country in 16 games.

Sobhana Mostary and Juairiya Ferdous have retained their places in the setup, while Shorna Akter, who played a key role in Bangladesh’s victories against Pakistan and the Netherlands during the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, is also a part of the team.

Ritu Moni will continue to give the balance to the squad with her all-round skillset, while Marufa Akter will lead the pace attack alongside Moni and Fariha Trisna.

Bangladesh will begin their campaign in the Asia Cup on 31 August against Indonesia. On the other hand, the 20th Asian Games are due to take place in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 17 to September 22, 2026.
