Canada have announced their 15-member squad for the 2026 T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka, with Dilpreet Bajwa set to lead.
Bajwa, soon to be 23, has represented Canada in nine ODIs and 17 T20Is in his short career. He will be leading the team for the first time. Bajwa had an impressive run of form Canada's Super 60 T10 tournament in October, when he left a mark with aggressive knocks of 57 off 18 and 68 not out off 22.

Canada have also named aggressive top-order batter Yuvraj Samra, who has a strike rate over 160 after 15 T20Is, including a tally of 27 sixes.
Canada, placed in Group D alongside South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, and UAE, will open their campaign against South Africa on February 9 in Ahmedabad. All their group matches are in India.
This will be their second appearance in the 20-over global event, having made their debut in the previous edition in 2024 in the USA and the West Indies. They qualified for the 2026 iteration after scripting an unbeaten run in the Americas Regional Final, winning all six games they played.
