Delhi shattered the record for the highest total by a women's team in domestic T20s during Match 44 of the Senior Women's T20 Trophy at MCA Ground 2, Gahunje, Pune. Delhi posted 262/6 in their allotted 20 overs against Hyderabad, breaking the earlier record held by Goa, who had scored 257/2 against Arunachal Pradesh in 2019-20.

It was also the 11th-highest overall total in women's T20s. Opening batter Tanisha Singh led the charge for Delhi, slamming a breathtaking century. Her whirlwind innings of 119 off 47 balls was studded with 25 fours and a six.

She brought up her hundred off 38 balls, the joint third-quickest century in women's T20s along with West Indies’ Deandra Dottin, who achieved the feat against South Africa in 2010. Kiran Navgire holds the record for the fastest century in women's T20 off 34 balls, followed by New Zealand legend Sophie Devine, who reached the landmark in 36 balls.

After losing her opening partner, Vanshika Lila (9 off 6), early, Tanisha got involved in a mammoth 160-run stand in just 66 balls for the second wicket alongside India international Priya Punia to take Delhi’s score past 175.

Hyderabad lose by 108 runs

Punia blasted her way to 59 off 28 balls, smashing nine fours and a six. Later, Shweta Sehrawat played a blistering cameo of 26 (8 balls), whacking three sixes to propel them past 200. Nazma Khan (11 off 6) and Deeksha Sharma (15* off 12) also made contributions lower down the order.

In reply, Hyderabad got off to a strong start in the chase, with opener Gongadi Trisha (80 off 52) playing a remarkable innings. However, the rest of the team failed to match Delhi's rapid scoring rate. Only captain Pranavi Chandra was the other batter to cross 20, as Hyderabad were restricted to 154/8 and suffered a 108-run loss.
