Glenn Phillips has given his fans yet another superhuman catch to add to his outrageous catching compilation videos across social platforms. His latest grab came in the 22nd match of the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) involving Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW) and Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR).

The incident unfolded on the first delivery of the third over. Dwaine Pretorius banged one short to Sunil Narine, who swivelled and pulled it to the right of deep midwicket. Narine couldn’t time it to perfection as Phillips dashed to his right, and it seemed he lost sight of the ball momentarily in the floodlights. However, the Kiwi nonchalantly stuck his right hand out to follow the trajectory of the ball and plucked it out of thin air.

Phillips stunned himself with the effort and stood there bemused for a few seconds before ecstasy hit him. He made up for his four‑ball duck, which came while opening the batting for Guyana Amazon Warriors earlier in the innings.

Shimron Hetmyer was the standout batter for Guyana. The southpaw scored 111 off just 43 balls, hammering eight fours and nine sixes at a strike rate of 258.13. His spectacular hundred powered Guyana to 185 for the loss of five wickets in just 16 overs. Allrounder Romario Shepherd provided the finishing touches as he smacked a seven‑ball 27*, striking two fours and three sixes at 385.71.

In reply, Trinbago Knight Riders remained in the hunt as long as skipper Nicholas Pooran and Alex Hales were at the crease. Pooran smashed 43 off 16 balls with the help of three fours and four maximums at a strike rate of 268.75. Hales, meanwhile, scored a brisk half‑century (55 off 24) with a solitary four and seven sixes at a strike rate of 229.16. Amazon eventually won by 9 runs (DLS method).
