Harleen Deol joins Barbados Tridents for remainder of WCPL 2026

Barbados Tridents have signed India batter Harleen Deol for the remainder of the ongoing Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL), making her the fifth overseas player to join the franchise.

Deol, 28, has played 28 T20Is and has scored 311 runs at a strike rate of 92.01, including one half-century. She is currently out of the India squad and is not part of the ongoing India A vs Australia A multi-format series, which features three unofficial T20Is, three unofficial ODIs and an unofficial Test.

She is one of five India players participating in the WCPL. Pooja Vastrakar, Kiran Navgire, Shikha Pandey and Yastika Bhatia are the others. Vastrakar and Navgire are also part of the Tridents setup.

Deol has played 28 matches in the Women’s Premier League (WPL). She has represented Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz across all four seasons of the tournament. She has scored 649 runs in the competition, averaging 28.21 at a strike rate of 115.68, including three fifties.

Meanwhile, Barbados sit at the bottom of the points table after losing the only game they have played so far. They have two matches left in the group stage and still have a chance of qualifying for the playoff.
