Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of the third ODI against West Indies due to a left hamstring injury he suffered during the second match of the series in Guwahati. Krishna didn’t even complete his full quota of overs, registering figures of 1/45 in five overs and left the field in the 31st over of the first innings.
The men’s Selection Committee has named Anshul Kamboj as Prasidh’s replacement, who will join the squad for the third ODI in Chandigarh. The right-arm seamer was playing for India A in the ongoing four-day match against Australia A, where he registered figures of 3/37 in 19.3 overs across two innings.
He only bowled two overs in the second innings before withdrawing from the match. Kamboj hasn’t made his ODI debut but has scalped 56 wickets from 35 List A matches at an average of 22.41. His only appearance for India came during the fourth Test against England in Manchester, 2025.

With the Ranji Trophy 2026-27 beginning on October 11, Sundar will get himself accustomed to red-ball cricket by playing for his state team and prepare for the all-important series against the Kiwis. He has been replaced by Naman Dhir in the squad.
