India batter Ishan Kishan has moved to the second place in the ICC T20I batting rankings after a bumper T20 World Cup 2026. The southpaw scored 317 runs in nine innings at a strike rate of 193.29, finishing as the fourth-highest run-scorer. His campaign included three fifties with a best of 77 against Pakistan which gave India an upper hand in the game. Notably, the Jharkhand batter leaped two places, overtaking Sahibzada Farhan and Phil Salt to take the second spot.

Abhishek Sharma, who had a subpar tournament by his lofty standards, maintained the top spot though. The 25-year-old scored 141 runs in eight innings at a strike rate of 158.42, but notably, failed to get off the mark on three occasions. The Punjab batter's innings in the final though was highly impactful and took India to a dominating position.

Notably, Jacob Bethell who almost took England into the final with his century against India in the semi-final jumped 17 places to take the 16th spot.

Rashid Khan displaces Varun to grab the top spot in bowler's rankings

Afghanistan had a substandard T20 World Cup campaign and exited the tournament after the group stage itself. Despite that, then captain Rashid Khan moved up one place to take the top spot, displacing India's Varun Chakravarthy who finished as the joint-highest wicket-taker.

Pakistan's Abrar Ahmed maintained his spot at three while England's Adil Rashid moved up one place to take the fourth spot. South Africa's Corbin Bosch dropped down one place to fifth while India's pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah moved up to sixth.

When it comes to the all-rounders, Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza held on to his top spot with Hardik Pandya following him at second. Pakistan's Saim Ayub, Nepal's Dipendra Singh Airee, and Afghanistan's Azmatullah Omarzai complete the top five.
