Opening bat Sidra Amin has been left out of Pakistan's squad for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, starting June 12 in England. Amin, 34, was also not selected for the recently concluded three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe at home.
Allrounder Fatima Sana will lead the 15-member squad, which is filled with fresh faces. This will be Sana's third T20 World Cup appearance. She will lead the team as captain for the second consecutive time, having also captained Pakistan in the previous edition held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2024.

Left-arm medium pacer Tasmia Rubab and pace-bowling allrounder Saira Jabeen are the new recruits in the fast-bowling department. They will bolster the pace battery, which includes veteran seamer Diana Baig.
Other than Jabeen and Rubab, right-arm off-spinner Rameen Shamim, batting allrounder Natalia Fervaiz, and top-order batter Eyman Fatima will be playing in their first-ever ICC Women's T20 World Cup.
Aliya Riaz, 33, is the most experienced player in the squad. Riaz has already played 18 games at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. She made her T20 World Cup debut at the 2016 edition, which was hosted by India.
Left-handed batter Muneeba Ali is second behind Riaz in terms of playing experience at the marquee tournament. She also made her T20 World Cup debut at the 2016 edition and has played 17 games thus far.
Pakistan will play Ireland and West Indies in a tri-series in Dublin from May 28 to June 4, to fine-tune their prep for the ICC event. They have been placed in Group 1 alongside India, Australia, Bangladesh, Netherlands and South Africa.
The Fatima Sana-led team will open their T20 World Cup campaign against India on June 14 in Edgbaston, Birmingham.
