Pakistan Cricket Board announces action-packed home season against Sri Lanka and England

Pakistan are all set to host Sri Lanka for a bilateral Test and T20I series, along with a triangular series with England as the third team in October and November 2026, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Wednesday, August 19.

The Men in Green will commence their home season with a three-match T20I series in Rawalpindi, which will be their first assignment in the format after the World Cup earlier this year.

The three T20Is will be played on October 9, 11, and 13, and the venue will also host the opening match of the tri-nation series between the two teams on October 18. The triangular series will be played on a double round-robin basis, with the top two teams advancing to the final in Lahore on October 31. 

England will face Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi on October 20 and 22, respectively, before all three teams move to Lahore for the remaining four matches.

It will be the second consecutive year that Pakistan will play an ODI triangular series at home after they hosted South Africa and New Zealand last year ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025.

Test series begins on November 9

The two-match Test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will begin in Rawalpindi, with the first match scheduled for November 9-13, before Lahore hosts the second Test from November 17-21.

The series will be a part of the World Test Championship, and Sri Lanka will prepare for the assignment through a three-day match in Islamabad from 4 to 6 November.

The series will also be Pakistan's second home assignment in the ongoing WTC cycle. They previously hosted reigning champions South Africa at the same venues in October last year, with the two-Test series ending in a 1-1 draw.
