Australian players Ellyse Perry and Kim Garth have been ruled out of the ODI series against India due to quad strains. In fact, the duo missed the first match of the 50-over series as well and were replaced by Georgia Voll and Megan Schutt, respectively.
Notably, both Perry and Garth suffered the same kind of injury in the same match - the third and final T20I at the Adelaide Oval on last Saturday. Now, whether the duo would be available for the only Test at the WACA in Perth, starting from March 6, is uncertain.

"Their availability for the Test match will be further assessed at the end of the ODI series pending on how they progress with rehab," a Cricket Australia statement read.
Schutt impresses, Voll disappoints
Schutt was not a part of the original squad. It was only when the duo were unavailable that the pacer was drafted in. The right-armer created an impact immediately after being introduced into the attack as she trapped Pratika Rawal leg before wicket off just her second delivery. The 33-year-old came back for her last spell in the death to pick one more wicket in the form of Shree Charani and finished with impressive figures of 9-1-42-2.
Goegia Voll, on the other hand, had a disappointing outing with the bat as the right-hander chipped one straight to Smriti Mandhana at covers off her very first delivery after coming in at number three. The 22-year-old's dismissal allowed India to make a small comeback as the Australian openers were cruising until then.
India, however, could not get over the line as their subpar batting performance (214 all out) did not give the bowlers enough runs to defend. In the end, Australia romped home with six wickets in hand and 70 balls remaining.
The teams meet again for the second ODI on Friday, February 27 in Hobart. As of now, the multi-format tour points table has both teams at four points each.
