Radha Yadav's counterattacking half-century helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) thrash Gujarat Giants by 32 runs in the ninth game of the ongoing Women's Premier League (WPL) to make it three wins in as many games.
Radha won the Player of the Match (POTM) award as she helped RCB post 182 on the board, a total that proved way beyond the reach of Giants. She gave an account of her rising batting prowess as she scored 66 off 47 balls, striking at 140.42, including six fours and three sixes.

She rescued RCB after they were tottering at 4/43 inside the powerplay, having lost their top-four batters. Radha then stitched a 105-run stand for the fifth wicket with Richa Ghosh (44 off 28 balls) and wrestled momentum in favour of RCB.
Richa was fluent as ever, hammering four boundaries and two maximums at a strike rate of 157.14. Their partnership allowed Nadine de Klerk to launch an onslaught on the Giants bowlers when she came in the 17th over. De Klerk smashed 26 off 12 and provided the finishing power to RCB's innings.
Sophie Devine was the most penetrative bowler for Giants as she claimed figures of 3/31 in her four overs.
In reply, Giants lost their way after Beth Mooney got them off to a steady start. Mooney scored 27 off 14 balls but couldn't capitalize on the start and got undone by Shreyanka Patil in the fifth over. Bharti Fulmali (39 off 20) threw a few punches, but those were never going to be enough as the asking rate got the better of her in the end.
Shreyanka showcased why RCB had decided to retain her despite her injury layoff as she claimed a match-winning five-for and finished with figures of 5/23. She accounted for Mooney, Kanika Ahuja, Tanuja Kanwar, Kashvee Gautam, and Renuka Singh.
