Former Australia batter Usman Khawaja has replaced Laurie Evans at Rawalpindi Pindiz and will bolster their middle order in the 11th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Pindiz haven't specified the reason behind Evans' unavailability; however, they have confirmed that Khawaja will join the squad instead. Khawaja's first-class career came to an end recently after Queensland's campaign came to a halt in the Sheffield Shield 2025-26 season. He played three innings for Brisbane Heat in the BBL 2025-26 season, scoring 108 runs at a strike rate of 148.

The Aussie southpaw has had the taste of the Pakistan Super League. He represented Islamabad United in the 2021 edition, accumulating 246 runs in seven matches at a strike rate of 152.79 and an astounding average of 49.20, including a hundred and a fifty.
Khawaja's international career came to an end with the New Year's Test of the Ashes in Sydney, earlier this year. He amassed 6229 runs in 88 Tests for Australia at an average of 42.95, scoring 16 centuries and 28 fifties.
Chris Green joins Islamabad United as injury replacement
Right-arm off-break bowler Chris Green has joined three-time PSL winners Islamabad United as the injury replacement for Max Bryant. This will be Green's second appearance at the PSL. He previously represented Multan Sultans during the 2019 season, snaring four wickets in five games at an economy rate of 6.52.
Green, 32, is a BBL veteran. He has played 120 BBL games for Sydney Thunder and picked up 87 wickets at an economy rate of 7.26, including a four-wicket haul.
