Rohit Sharma has been named in Mumbai's squad for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26. Bowling allrounder Shardul Thakur has been announced as captain for India's premier List A tournament. The addition of Rohit will bring stability to Mumbai's batting order and plenty of experience.
Notably, the squad is devoid of names like Ajinkya Rahane, Ayush Mhatre, and Yashasvi Jaiswal. The responsibility of shouldering the workload in the batting department will lie on the shoulders of Musheer Khan, Sarfaraz Khan, Siddhesh Lad, Suryansh Shedge, and Angkrish Raghuvanshi, among others.

Their bowling attack includes proven performers like Shardul, Tushar Deshpande, Tanush Kotian, and Shams Mulani, among others. Mumbai have been placed in Group C alongside Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand.
The Shardul Thakur-led side will start its campaign against Sikkim in Jaipur on December 24 and will meet Uttarakhand in their second fixture on December 26.
