Scotland have announced their squad for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 as Kathryn Bryce will be leading her team for the second successive time in the tournament. Scotland earned their spot for the upcoming event set to be played in England & Wales through the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier, where they advanced to the Super Six after finishing second in Group B.

After losing against Bangladesh, Scotland managed to register important wins against Ireland and USA in the Super Six stage, finishing third in the Global Qualifier and securing their place for the Women’s T20 World Cup.

As far as the squad is concerned, Kirstie Gordon will return to play for Scotland in the upcoming event, seven years after her last appearance for England in the 2019 Ashes. Gordon switched bases to England in 2018 ahead of the T20 World Cup. But she’s all set to make a return for Scotland, having committed to play for the nation in December 2025.

Apart from her, three players have also been selected from Scotland's Under-19 World Cup campaign in Malaysia last year, namely bowlers Gabriella Fontenla and Maisie Maceira, along with wicketkeeper-batter Pippa Sproul.

Scotland head coach Craig Wallace expressed confidence in the squad, saying that they have all bases covered to succeed in the tournament.

"The depth we have now to choose from is incredible and every selection is enjoyable, but really tough. I think we’ve got a really good balance in the squad in terms of what we think we need to succeed in this tournament,” Wallace was quoted as saying by ICC.

He also welcomed Kirstie Gordon back into the team, highlighting how her involvement will benefit the entire squad.

"We have multiple world-class players in this team, and Kirstie [Gordon] is definitely one of them. We welcome her involvement in the group and expect her to drive our standards up even more and help us to improve Scottish cricket. I’m looking forward to working with her and helping her enhance her own skills as well,” he added.

Scotland are part of Group B in the World Cup, alongside England, Ireland, West Indies, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. They will begin their campaign against Ireland at Old Trafford, Manchester on Saturday, June 13.

Ahead of the tournament, Scotland will finalise their preparations in a tri-nation series, alongside Bangladesh and Netherlands in Edinburgh.
