Tristan Stubbs and Reeza Hendricks have missed out as Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced a 15-member squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. Aiden Markram will lead the side that has a nice blend of youth and experience.
Both Stubbs and Hendricks were a part of South Africa's squad during their recently concluded five-match T20I series against India. While Stubbs scored 23 runs in two games, Hendricks only managed 21 runs in three matches during the course of the series.

Stubbs has got off to an underwhelming start to the ongoing edition of SA20. The right-handed batter has aggregated scores of 2*, 9, and 17 in the three games he has played for Sunrisers Eastern Cape. With 28 and 18, Hendricks hasn't performed remarkably well either to get his SA20 season for MI Cape Town underway.
The selection panel has recalled batting allrounder Jason Smith to the squad. Smith has played three ODIs and two T20Is in his career thus far.
The fast-bowling group has a potent look to it with Marco Jansen, Anrich Nortje, Kwena Maphaka, Kagiso Rabada, Corbin Bosch, and Lungi Ngidi all being named in the team.
Rabada is making a return to the fold after he spent 10 weeks on the sidelines due to a rib injury. He has returned to SA20 and claimed figures of 2/48 for MI Cape Town against Pretoria Capitals.
The onus of the batting group will lie with Markram, David Miller, Quinton de Kock, and Tony de Zorzi. Youngster Dewald Brevis will be an exciting talent to watch out for at the ICC signature event.
