South Africa will host Australia, Bangladesh and England in the 2026-27 home season, with Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirming the schedule for the senior men’s team on February 23.
The season will start with a multi-format series against Australia, including three ODIs and as many Tests. This will be Australia's first Test tour of South Africa since the infamous 2018 tour, when the series was rocked by the ball-tampering scandal in Cape Town. The ODI series be played in Durban, Johannesburg and Potchefstroom from September 24 to 30. The ensuing Test series will commence on October 9 in Durban, followed by the second match in Gqeberha (October 18 to 22) and Cape Town (October 27 to 31).

Bangladesh will then visit for an all-format tour in November-December, starting the tour with a two-match Test series with the matches to be played in Johannesburg (November 15-19) and Centurion (November 23 to 27). The three ODIs will follow between December 1 to 7 in East London, Gqeberha and Cape Town, while the T20Is will be held in Kimberley, Benoni and Centurion between December 10 and 13.
After that, England will arrive for a three-match Test series, starting December 17 in Johannesburg, followed by the Boxing Day Test in Centurion and the New Year's Test will be staged in Cape Town.
The home season will conclude with three ODIs against England, starting in Paarl on January 10, before the two games in Bloemfontein on January 13 and 15. The series will clash with the SA20 2027, which will run from January 9 to February 14. The three ODIs were set to be followed by a T20I series, which the CSA said has been removed due to “scheduling conflicts”. The CSA and ECB are exploring options to reschedule.
"We are really looking forward to welcoming three strong cricketing nations in Australia, Bangladesh and England," CSA Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki said in a release.
"Next season carries significant importance for both our Test and ODI teams. We have made a promising start to the new World Test Championship cycle, including a hard-fought 1-1 series draw against Pakistan and an impressive 2-0 victory over India, and it is important that we continue to build on that momentum and strengthen our position on the WTC table.
"On the white-ball front, our focus remains firmly on building towards hosting the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in 2027. Every ODI series from here forms part of our preparation for that global event, not only as proud hosts, but as a team determined to compete strongly on home soil."
