South Africa's Jason Smith ruled out of tri-series against Namibia, Zimbabwe

South Africa's middle-order batting allrounder Jason Smith has been ruled out of the upcoming T20 tri-series against Namibia and Zimbabwe. Smith has suffered an adductor muscle strain and will miss out on the season-opening tournament. The right-handed batter has aggregated 124 runs in 11 T20Is at a strike rate of 119.23. He has also amassed 132 runs, averaging 44.00, at a strike rate of 88.59 with the help of a fifty.
The Proteas have opted not to announce a replacement for Smith. Their batting order includes Dewald Brevis, the Hermann brothers (Jordan Hermann and Rubin Hermann), Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Connor Esterhuizen.
