Tilak Varma has been named captain of the India A squad for the Rising Stars Asia Cup. The squad features several India regulars, including Abhishek Sharma, who recently smashed his fourth T20I century during a five-match T20I series against New Zealand.

Apart from Tilak and Abhishek, the squad also includes Rinku Singh, Prabhsimran Singh, and teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The multi-nation tournament will be played in Doha from November 19.

Fast bowler Harshit Rana has also been named in the squad after regaining full fitness. He last played internationally in a T20I against England during a five-match series in July.

India have been placed in Group B alongside arch-rivals Pakistan Shaheens, the United Arab Emirates, and Nepal. Group A comprises Sri Lanka A, Afghanistan A, Bangladesh A, and Hong Kong, China.

Rana will lead the pace battery which also features Prince Yadav and uncapped left-arm seamer Arshad Khan. The spin department will be under the supervision of leg-spinner Vipraj Nigam, lef-arm off-spinner Harsh Dubey, and right-arm off-break bowler Tanush Kotian.
India's campaign will get underway with a fixture against Nepal on November 20. They will take on Pakistan Shaheens in their second fixture and end the group-stage with a game against United Arab Emirates. Pakistan Shaheens are the defending champions.
