New Zealand and the USA had to share a point each after rain had the final say in their Group B encounter at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Sunday, whereas England continued their unbeaten run by beating co-hosts Zimbabwe by eight wickets in the second game of the day at the Takashinga Sports Club in Highfield, Harare. Similarly, Afghanistan also claimed their second consecutive win by beating the West Indies by 138 runs in Windhoek.
Rain plays spoilsport in New Zealand vs USA encounter
New Zealand won the toss and elected to field first. His decision seemed spot on till the 22nd over as they had the USA languishing 97 for the loss of six wickets. However, Nitish Sudini scored a brilliant century to power them to 253 for the loss of nine wickets. Nitish added 103 runs for the seventh wicket with Adit Kappa and rescued the team from turbulent seas. Flynn Morey was the pick of all the Kiwi bowlers as he bagged a four-fer after conceding 40 runs in 10 overs.

New Zealand could only manage to play a solitary over before rain came lashing down, and the game was abandoned.
England rout Zimbabwe
England claimed their second-consecutive win on the back of a disciplined bowling effort as they restricted Zimbabwe to 208 for the loss of nine wickets. Skipper Simbarashe Mudzengerere top-scored for the Chevrons as he played an unbeaten knock of 45. Manny Lumsden claimed a three-wicket haul and was well supported by Ralphie Albert (2/49) and Farhan Ahmed (2/33).
In reply, skipper Thomas Rew and Ben Mayes combined to add 167 runs for the third wicket and took England over the line in the 28th over. Rew was adjudged the Player of the Match (POTM) for scoring an unbeaten 86.
Afghanistan steamroll the West Indies
Skipper Mahboob Khan (86) and Osman Sadat (88) added a 77-run stand for the fourth wicket and guided Afghanistan to 262 for the loss of six wickets in 50 overs. It proved to be too much for the Windies as they could only muster 124 in 33.2 overs, with Jewel Andrew top scoring with 57.
Nooristani Omarzai (4/16) was the wrecker-in-chief for Afghanistan and was ably backed up by Wahidullah Zadran (3/36) and Khatir Stanikzai (3/20) as they beat the Boys in the Maroon by 138 runs.
