Star India batter Virat Kohli has revealed his favourite ODI innings from his illustrious 18-year career. Having retired from both Tests and T20Is, ODI remains the only format which Kohli plays. The batting stalwart has represented India in 318 matches in the 50-over format and scored 15,183 runs at an average of 58.84, with a world record 55 hundreds and 80 fifties to his name.
Out of the countless match-winning innings played for the Men in Blue, the one knock that stands out for Virat Kohli is the one from the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 final against England at Edgbaston, Birmingham. In a video released by Star Sports, Kohli was asked to choose his favourite from numerous innings he’s played for the country.
Surprisingly, Kohli ended up picking the Champions Trophy knock above several career-changing innings like 133 in Hobart, 2012 and 183 vs Pakistan the same year. Notably, Kohli had first picked his 35 against Sri Lanka during the ODI World Cup 2011 final as his favourite one.
However, once the Champions Trophy final innings came as an option, he kept it as his favourite right till the end. In a rain-curtailed 20-over final, Kohli had scored 43 (34) with the help of four fours and a six.

Kohli's innings helped India win Champions Trophy
He helped rescue India from a precarious position of 66/5 after 13 overs, stitching a game-changing 47-run partnership off 33 balls with Ravindra Jadeja (33* off 25). Their stand helped the team post a good score of 129/7 in their allotted 20 overs.
India eventually won the match by five runs as Jadeja won the Player of the Match honours for his stellar all-round show as he also picked up 2/24 in four overs. While Kohli’s innings got buried under the remarkable performance from Indian bowlers, the innings continues to hold a special place in his heart despite it not being a typical ‘milestone innings.’
