The All India senior men's national selection committee has announced a 15-member squad for India's upcoming three-match ODI series in England. The biggest update involves former captain Virat Kohli as he continues to nurse a hamstring injury. Virat has been named in the side for the ODI series; however, his participation remains subject to fitness clearance.
Axar Patel returns, Dubey misses out
Allrounder Axar Patel also makes his way back into the squad after missing the home series against Afghanistan. Axar's inclusion has led to the ouster of spin-bowling allrounder Harsh Dubey. Dubey was a member of India's ODI squad, which inflicted a 3-0 whitewash over Afghanistan on home soil on Saturday. Dubey registered figures of 3/47 and 1/38 in the first and the third games in Dharamshala and Chennai, respectively. He couldn't find a place in the second fixture, which was played in Lucknow.

Prince Yadav makes way for Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah and Harshit Rana's returns have bolstered India's pace battery. Rana was added to India's squad for the third ODI against Afghanistan in Chennai but wasn't picked in the playing XI. The return of Rana and Bumrah meant that Prince Yadav was unable to hold his place in the squad. Prince claimed three wickets in the series against Afghanistan and looked athletic in the field, taking a couple of stunning catches.
Yashasvi Jaiswal dropped despite match-winning ton vs Afghanistan
Yashasvi Jaiswal is bound to be crestfallen as the southpaw has not been picked for the England series despite scoring a match-winning hundred in the third ODI against Afghanistan. Chasing 219, Jaiswal smashed an unbeaten hundred (110* off 86), laced with 14 fours and three sixes at a scintillating strike rate of 127.90.
The ODI series will get underway with the first game at Edgbaston in Birmingham on July 14, followed by the second fixture at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. The third match will be held at the 'Home of Cricket', Lord's.
