Zimbabwe have announced their squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against India. The selectors have made three changes to the 15-man squad that faced Bangladesh recently. All-rounder Wessly Madhevere returns to the side, while wicketkeeper-batter Tafadzwa Tsiga has earned his maiden T20I call-up.

Fast bowler Newman Nyamhuri, who missed the Bangladesh series due to a niggle, has also marked his return. The trio has been added to the team in place of Clive Madande, Tinotenda Maposa and Tashinga Musekiwa.

Speedster Tanaka Chivanga, who was added to the team as Nyamhuri's replacement, retains his place. Captain Sikandar Raza will continue to lead the side as Zimbabwe aim to build on their recent success against Bangladesh. They won the one-off Test, followed by a 2-1 victory in the ODI series, but ended up losing the T20I leg 1-2.

The three-match T20I series begins on Thursday, July 23 in Harare. Meanwhile, India have arrived in Zimbabwe for the upcoming series. The Men in Blue come under immense pressure after suffering back-to-back losses against Ireland and England. Ever since defending their T20 World Cup crown on home soil in March, India have had a tough time living up to their title of world champions.

India under immense pressure

Under the leadership of new captain Shreyas Iyer, the Asian Giants are yet to win a single match, having suffered their maiden series defeat against Ireland, losing 0-2. They further went down 0-4 against England, their first defeat in a multi-match T20I series against the Three Lions.

As a result, India find themselves under immense pressure heading into the Zimbabwe series, being on their longest winless streak (7 matches) in T20Is. Their poor form will be a massive confidence boost for Zimbabwe, who're also searching for their maiden T20I series win against India.

Zimbabwe squad for India T20I series: Sikandar Raza (Captain), Brian Bennett, Ryan Burl, Tanaka Chivanga, Ben Curran, Brad Evans, Wessly Madhevere, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Wellington Masakadza, Blessing Muzarabani, Dion Myers, Richard Ngarava, Newman Nyamhuri, Milton Shumba, Tafadzwa Tsiga
