Women's Asia Cup 2026 schedule announced, India to face Pakistan on September 5

The Women’s Asia Cup 2026 is all set to begin on August 28, with the final scheduled to be played on September 13^th, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced on Thursday, August 6. A total of eight teams will take part in the tenth edition of the tournament, divided into two groups.

Group A features India, Pakistan, Thailand, Hong Kong China, while Group B contains Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UAE and Indonesia. The top two teams from each group will progress into the semi-finals. The continental event will feature 15 matches in total, with all fixtures scheduled to be played in Dubai. The tournament will be held in the T20 format for the sixth time in its history.

Hong Kong, China and Thailand will lock horns in the curtain-raiser fixture on August 28. On the other hand, India will start their campaign against Thailand on August 30. While all fixtures will be crucial to every team’s progression in the tournament, all eyes will once again be fixated on the India vs Pakistan game to be played on September 5.

Sri Lanka women will enter the tournament as defending champions, having won the previous edition played in their home in 2024. The Chamari Athapaththu-led side hammered seven-time champions India by eight wickets in the final. Sri Lanka start their campaign against UAE on August 29.
