Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women (RCB W) beat Delhi Capitals Women (DC W) by eight wickets in Match 11 of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 on Saturday, January 17, at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.

The Capitals, inserted to bat, started on a wobbly note, losing wickets in quick succession as Lizelle Lee, Laura Wolvaardt, captain Jemimah Rodrigues, and Marizanne Kapp all fell for single-digit scores. Shafali Verma and Niki Prasad steadied the ship through their 59-run fifth-wicket alliance in 35 balls.

Despite that, Capitals continued losing wickets at regular intervals before some handy lower-order effort from Sneh Rana (22) and Lucy Hamilton (36*) added some heft to their total. Shafali was the star of the show, smashing five fours and four sixes in her 62 off 41-ball 62 to take her team to a fighting 166/10 in their 20 overs.

RCB bowlers were on point, with Lauren Bell (3/26) and Sayali Satghare (3/27) doing the most damage. Nadine de Klerk scalped one while Prema Rawat got two.

Out to chase 167, RCB made a poor start as Grace Harris walked back for just one run. However, captain Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll held the fort, scripting a game-defining 142-run partnership in just 91 balls for the second wicket. Mandhana scored a sensational 96 off 61 balls, including 13 fours and three sixes, while Voll stood unbeaten on 54 off 42 balls, hitting five fours and two sixes. Richa Ghosh came to finish the chase, with RCB reaching the mark in 18.2 overs.

Marizanne Kapp and Nandni Sharma took one wicket apiece, although the remaining bowlers failed to make any impact. RCB W bolstered their top spot in the WPL points table, having clinched all four matches so far. In stark contrast, the Capitals are teetering at the bottom of the pile with a solitary win from four games.

The Capitals will face the Mumbai Indians Women on Tuesday, January 20, while RCB W will take on the Gujarat Giants Women on Monday, January 19, at the BCA Stadium, Kotambi, Vadodara.
