The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 will have three games behind closed doors owing to municipal corporation elections in Navi Mumbai on January 15.

The local police have informed the BCCI about their inability to provide necessary and adequate security arrangements during the election time.

The three games scheduled for these dates include Delhi Capitals versus UP Warriorz (January 14), Mumbai Indians versus UP Warriorz (January 15), and Gujarat Giants versus Royal Challengers Bengaluru (January 16).

An official announcement is awaited; however, the ticketing partner has not made tickets available for the concerned matches online.

The fixtures for WPL were released on November 29, while the date for the election was announced on December 15.

The spectators will return in the stadium on the final day of the competition in Navi Mumbai, where the second double header of the season will be played on January 17, with Mumbai Indians playing UP Warriorz in the afternoon and Delhi Capitals taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the evening.

Following that, the caravan will move to Vadodara, with Kotambi's Baroda Cricket Association Stadium earmarked to host the last nine league-stage games as well as the playoff and the final.
