Match Preview
Bangladesh (BAN) and Pakistan (PAK) clash in the third and final ODI of the three-match series at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday, March 15.
The series is levelled at 1-1 after two contrasting performances from the teams. In the first match, Bangladesh completed their fourth-biggest win in terms of balls (209) on the back of Nahid Rana's incisive five-wicket haul which led to a collapse for Pakistan. In response, the 115-run target was overcome in quick time thanks to Tanzid Hasan's rapid unbeaten 67.

In a do-or-die game for Pakistan next, Maaz Sadaqat's 75 off 46 balls and Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha's crucial 109-run partnership set up a competitive target of 275. However, a prolonged rain relay meant it was revised to 243 required off 32 overs. Bangladesh faltered big time, and except for Litton Das, nobody else could really fire.
When it comes to team news, Pakistan will mostly be without Hussain Talat who injured his left shoulder while fielding in the previous match. Ghazi Ghori might come in, in his place. Notably, the inclusion of Haris Rauf worked wonders and so it is expected that Pakistan will not make any other changes to their winning XI. Bangladesh, on the other hand, will most likely replace out-of-form Saif Hassan with Soumya Sarkar.
There is a forecast of thunderstorms for this match as well. If it does occur and cause a substantial amount of delay, the equations can change considerably like the last time.

BAN vs PAK: Players to watch out for
Maaz Sadaqat (PAK):
Sadaqat played a blinder of an innings in the second ODI. The 20-year-old's 75 runs came at a strike rate of 163 with the innings comprising six fours and five sixes. Notably, the left-hander has a solid record in List A cricket, scoring 1065 runs in 29 innings at an average of 39.44 and a strike rate of 103.59. The southpaw has shown resilience as he made a good comeback after failing to score many in the first match. With the confidence gained from his previous match knock, he is expected to give Pakistan a quick start once again.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz (BAN):
The Bangladesh skipper has been very good with the ball in all ways possible. The 28-year-old's off-spin has produced five wickets in the series so far and the right-armer has struck at crucial moments as well to regain advantage for his team. When it comes to his batting, Miraz did not get a chance in the first match while he was out for a mere one run in the second. Nevertheless, his batting abilities are well-known and if he clicks, Bangladesh will be able to get into a good position. Given the way he has bowled, the captain is likely to create impact with the ball again.
