After successfully defending their T20 World Cup crown on home soil, India will begin a new cycle in the format as they take on Ireland in the first game of the two-match series on Friday, June 26 at Civil Service Cricket Club, Belfast. The series will also mark the beginning of the captaincy tenure of Shreyas Iyer, who has replaced Suryakumar Yadav at the helm.
With several youngsters in the squad, along with the seasoned campaigners, India might also test their bench strength, with a few debuts likely to be on the cards in the series.
