After sealing the T20I series, India will take on New Zealand in the first ODI of the five-match series on Wednesday, November 4, at Eden Park, Auckland. The Men in Blue are coming into the series having won their last 50-over assignment against West Indies by 2-1.
While the batters have been plundering runs for India, the bowling frailties have been exposed out in the open time and again. In the last ODI series, West Indies regularly posted totals in excess of 290 in all three matches and even chased down 352 in the third ODI in New Chandigarh.
The scrutiny will be on the bowling attack once again as they play in the odd dimensions of the Eden Park. The pitch at the venue is also expected to provide good bounce and movement.
On the other hand, New Zealand will take confidence from their maiden ODI series win in India earlier this year. However, they’ve been dealing with multiple injuries, and the loss of Devon Conway due to a freak accident ahead of the first ODI has further added to their woes.

Players to watch out for in NZ vs IND
Virat Kohli (IND):
Like every match he plays, the attention is again going to be on Virat Kohli and how he fares upon his return to New Zealand after six years. The batting stalwart struggled on his last tour to the country and will be challenged again by a potent Kiwi attack.
Kyle Jamieson (NZ):
The towering speedster was amongst the wickets during the last ODI bilateral series between the two teams. He will use the bounce at Eden Park to good effect in the upcoming fixture to trouble the famed Indian batting lineup.
Today's Match Prediction: India to win
