Match Preview
New Zealand (NZ) and South Africa (SA) head into the third T20I of the five-match series at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday, March 20.
The series has witnessed contrasting games; the first one yielded just 184 runs in total in 31.1 overs leading to a comfortable South African win while the second match saw the conditions which were much better for the batters. However, only the Kiwis were able to utilise them as the series was levelled 1-1.

After two hit-or-miss performances, the teams would be aiming to achieve consistency. The new-look South African outfit is high on promise and cannot be discounted at any stage. On the other hand, the New Zealand team appears to be back on track during the previous game and has enough firepower and experience to overhaul any challenge.
Eden Park is expected to provide a batting-friendly surface where the runs might be quite easy to come by. There is no chance of rain in the evening, however, the atmospheric conditions are expected to be cold, windy, and partly cloudy.

NZ vs SA: Players to watch out for
Connor Esterhuizen (SA):
Esterhuizen was impressive in the first match on a tricky wicket to bat on. Notably, it was his maiden outing for his country and the wicketkeeper-batter showed glimpses of talent and temperament. The 24-year-old, however, was out cheaply in the following match. Nevertheless, the top order batter is expected to come good once again.
Mitchell Santner (NZ):
The Kiwi captain has bowled a couple of stunning spells in the series, picking up three wickets in seven overs. Strikingly, the left-arm spinner has been the most economical (3.85) and appears to be in good form. Not just that, Santner has batted well too. The 34-year-old is currently the third-highest run-scorer in the series with 35 runs.
