Abhishek Sharma IPL Salary: Year-wise earnings from 2018 to 2026

Abhishek Sharma initially grabbed headlines when he made his share of contributions in India's ICC Men's U19 World Cup-winning campaign in 2018 in New Zealand. He was then bought by Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) at the IPL 2018 auction for INR 55 lakhs.

Abhishek didn't get many opportunities at Delhi Daredevils. He just played three games and scored 63 runs at an average of 63.00 and a strike rate of 190.90, including a best of 46*.

Delhi thought it was a wise idea to trade the southpaw the next year alongside Shahbaz Nadeem and Vijay Shankar to Sunrisers Hyderabad in exchange for Shikhar Dhawan. However, they were made to regret it as Abhishek unleashed his game in orange.

He didn't get to play as many games as he would have liked at SRH in his first three seasons, and it wasn't until 2022 that he felt he truly belonged there.

In 2022, he played 14 games for SRH, scoring 426 runs at an average of 30.42 and a strike rate of 133.12, including two fifties. The year 2023 saw a dip in his average (20.54), but the strike rate improved to 143.94.

It was the year 2024 when Abhishek came into his own and unlocked his full potential. The left-handed batter amassed 484 runs at an average of 32.26 and an eye-popping strike rate of 204.21, laced with three half-centuries.

2025 was another consistent year in his IPL career as he racked up 439 runs, averaging 33.76 at a strike rate of 193.39, including his maiden IPL hundred and two half-centuries. His second IPL ton came against Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 21 in IPL 2026 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

He obliterated DC with his full repertoire of strokes and forced them to duck for cover, scoring an unbeaten 135 off 68 balls.
