Finn Allen IPL Salary: Year-wise earnings from 2022 to 2026

At just 27, Finn Allen has become quite the globetrotter and made a name for himself in T20 leagues worldwide as this destructive opener, who can shred bowling attacks to pieces.

Allen signed a casual playing contract with the Blackcaps in September last year. It allows him the luxury of participating in franchise T20 tournaments globally and making himself available for national selection in between.

Allen has played for Quetta Gladiators in the PSL, Southern Brave and Birmingham Phoenix in the Hundred, Perth Scorchers in the BBL and San Francisco Unicorns in MLC. The right-hand bat is gradually becoming a popular name in the Indian Premier League (IPL) too.

However, Allen found no takers when he registered for the IPL auction for the first time in 2021. The Kiwi had registered for a base price of INR 20 lakhs but was unfortunate not to attract a buyer.

His fortunes changed for the better when Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) bid for him at the IPL 2022 auction and signed him up for INR 80,00,000 lakhs. While there were numerous opportunities to learn from the best at RCB, he couldn't get the chance to implement those learnings in the middle, throughout the season.

The year 2023 saw the same script repeat itself as he was made to watch from the sidelines. RCB released him before the start of the 2024 season. Allen went back to the auction and registered at a base price of INR 75,00,000 lakhs but went unsold.

He registered for a much higher base price of INR 2 crore in 2025, but the same script unfolded again after franchises showed no interest in him. His efforts in leagues elsewhere didn't go unnoticed, and he was bought for INR 2 crore by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the IPL 2026 auction in Abu Dhabi.
