Jamie Overton IPL Salary: Year-wise earnings from 2025 to 2026

Jamie Overton is a 6'5" seam-bowling allrounder from England who made his international debut at the age of 28 against New Zealand in Leeds in June, 2022. He has already represented England across formats and is gradually building an impressive reputation for himself in the T20 circuit.

Overton has represented Gulf Giants in the International League T20 (ILT20), Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League (BBL) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has played 28 games for Strikers and bagged 39 wickets at an average of 20.58 and an economy rate of 8.36. He has also aggregated 366 runs in the BBL, averaging 30.50 at a strike rate of 139.69.

Overton's performances for Strikers played a key role in helping him attract buyers at the IPL 2025 auction. CSK roped him in by spending INR 1.50 crore at the auction. He played three games for the five-time champions in 2025 but was unable to make any substantial contributions. He was retained for the 19th edition of the lucrative tournament for the same paycheck. 

A lesser-known fact about Overton is that he had registered for the 2019 IPL auction for a base price of INR 40 lakhs but found no buyer. He also went unsold at the 2023 and 2024 auctions after registering for a base price of INR 2 crore.

While it's still early days for the tall fast-bowling allrounder in the IPL, Overton is a trustworthy name in England's domestic circuit. Overton made his debut in the Hundred in 2023 for Manchester Super Giants and also played for them in the following year.

In 2025, he was procured by London Spirit. He has bagged 11 wickets at an economy rate of 8.90 and also amassed 366 runs at a strike rate of 154.43 in the tournament. He has a contract of  INR 2.76 crore with Spirit for the upcoming season of the Hundred.
