At 6'7", Jason Omar Holder is one of the most towering bowling figures to have emerged from the Caribbean. He was earmarked as a promising fast-bowling talent for West Indies.
Holder was a part of the West Indies squad that participated in the ICC Men's U19 World Cup 2010 in New Zealand. He emerged as the leading wicket-taker for the team with 12 wickets in six games, averaging 17.75 at an economy rate of 4.03, including a five-wicket haul.

Holder was named as the captain of the West Indies ODI team in 2014 when he was still 23. In September 2015, he was also asked to shoulder the responsibility of the Test side.
Holder first got a taste of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2013. He was signed by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the IPL auction for INR 10.64 lakhs. The right-arm pacer bagged two wickets in six matches at an economy rate of 8.40 and couldn't get an opportunity to showcase his batting pedigree. He was subsequently released.
Holder was able to draw the attention of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the 2014 auction as they signed him for INR 75 lakhs. He picked up a wicket and scored 16 runs in the solitary game he got for SRH in 2014.
Holder is currently (IPL 2026) playing for Gujarat Titans (GT) after they splurged INR 7 crore at the mini auction in Abu Dhabi last year to rope him in. Interestingly, Holder has played for six different franchises in the cash-rich league but hasn't been retained ever.
His highest annual IPL earnings came with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) when they signed him for INR 8.75 crore at the 2022 auction.
