Madhav Tiwari IPL Salary: Year-wise earnings from 2025 to 2026

November 25, 2024, was a massive day for Madhav Tiwari. Tiwari, 22, was one of the uncapped Indian allrounders who had registered for the IPL auction. He had kept his base price INR 30 lakhs and drew immediate interest as his name was called out by the auctioneer. 

Five-time IPL winners, Mumbai Indians (MI), opened the bidding, and Delhi Capitals (DC) immediately joined in, taking the bid to INR 40 lakhs. Mumbai pulled out, and Madhav became a part of Delhi Capitals. A lower middle-order batter and a right-arm speedster, Madhav, only got a solitary opportunity to represent Delhi in the 2025 season when they played Mumbai Indians at Wankhede on May 21. He could only manage 3 runs with the bat in hand and didn't get the opportunity to bowl.

Tiwari plays his domestic cricket for Madhya Pradesh. He has yet to feature in a senior domestic game for Madhya Pradesh. He, however, has featured in the Madhya Pradesh Premier League in two seasons, while playing for Bhopal Leopards.

The youngster made his second appearance in the IPL on May 11 against Punjab Kings at the picturesque venue of the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. It was his first game of the 2026 season, and he made it memorable.

Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel made Tiwari bowl his full quota of four overs as the latter picked up two crucial wickets in the game. His first IPL wicket was Priyansh Arya. Arya looked to time an inside-out against a fullish delivery but ended up slicing it too much for his liking. Arya was caught at deep point by Sahil Parakh, and Tiwari was jubilant with his maiden wicket in the IPL.

He also dismissed Cooper Connolly while he was batting on 38 off 27 balls. Connolly played a peculiar stroke resembling a tennis forehand and was safely gobbled by David Miller at deep mid-wicket. Tiwari conceded 40 runs in his four overs at 10 per over and also bowled nine dot balls. He was awarded the Player of the Match (POTM) for his spell and playing a cameo of 18* off eight balls to win the game for Delhi.
